Since Innovathon 7 began, participants have been eying the opportunity to sit in Expert Talks. These sessions were designed to ensure that all semi-finalists were equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools they needed to create groundbreaking and impactful solutions with their platforms. By organising learning opportunities like Expert Talks, Mitrais continues to foster a culture of innovation that addresses real-world challenges and delivers lasting value for both the company and its clients. 

Key Insights from Industry Leaders

The series began with Dr. Sandhy Widyasthana, PMP, CERG, a seasoned entrepreneur and innovation expert, CEO of MDI Ventures Singapore. His session emphasized the connection between innovation and business performance, urging teams to identify customer pain points and focus on continuous improvement to thrive in a competitive landscape. 

Following Dr. Widyasthana, Dr. Ir. Esther Irawati Setiawan, S.Kom, M.Kom, a leading expert in artificial intelligence, provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the AI landscape. She shared recommendations for tools and platforms to create and stay up to date in the world of AI. 

Andriansyah Bachtar, Mitrais’ Vice President of Finance and Accounting, concluded the series by stressing the importance of financial projections. His insights on strategic planning and effective resource allocation are crucial for startups aiming for long-term success.

Apriliana Nur Rachmawati, a member of the PrepAIration team, which is designing an AI-empowered platform to conduct realistic mock interview experiences, shared her thoughts:  “This is my first time participating in Innovathon and attending the Expert Talks. I didn’t expect much, but the sessions were incredibly informative and engaging. The speakers made complex topics easy to grasp with real-world examples, and their presentation styles kept us hooked.” She added, “The experience opened my eyes to the rapid pace of AI advancements, and I realised how valuable these talks are for staying updated on industry trends.”  

Another participant, Eric Chrisna, from Navigo, who is building an AI-driven travel app, remarked: “The Expert Talks were eye-opening. We gained a deeper understanding of AI development complexities and the importance of financial planning for startups. These sessions provided key insights into emerging trends, feature enhancements, and effective financial strategies to optimise resources for long-term success.” 

See You at the Grand Finale  

The highly anticipated Grand Finale of Mitrais’ Innovathon 7 will take place on 9 October, live from our Bandung office. Anticipate a blast with a Japan theme at the finale, where you can rock the most creative outfits while participating in exciting games.
