2023 was a transformative period for Mitrais, marked by efforts to strengthen bonds among colleagues, sustain a culture of appreciation, and embrace innovation. This article sheds light on Mitrais’ highlights of 2023 and the anticipated theme of 2024’s success.

Strengthening Bonds through Warmly Embraced Events

Mitrais recognised the importance of fostering strong connections among its employees. Gusti Putu Kompiang, the Director of Mitrais shared his thoughts on this, “The pandemic has been profoundly affecting life around the globe. While it gives opportunities for personal growth and family cohesion, the bigger concerns, perhaps more than we would like to admit, are the lack of peer contact and reduced opportunities for stress regulation. Going out and doing different things can be invigorating for our emotional well-being.”

Hence, the company gathered everyone together in the four biggest events that grooved our 2023: Mitrais’ Anniversary, Independence Day Cup, Innovathon-6, and outings. 

Mitrais Anniversary

Last year, Mitrais proudly celebrated its 32nd anniversary. The dashing celebration threw a golden opportunity for colleagues to come together and commemorate the organisation’s milestones. It was a sentimental moment that strengthened bonds among colleagues and renewed our commitment to shared success. 

Independence Day Cup

The month of August was vibrant in Mitrais with the in-house Independence Day Cup where staff collided and competed in their favourite sports, unleashing their inner athletes. The event created a sense of camaraderie, healthy competition, and teamwork among employees from different departments. It was also lavishly rewarded with prizes for the winners. Who would have thought that you could pad your wallet while having competitive fun with your colleagues? 

Innovathon-6

Towards the end of 2023, as ideas collision peaked, the 80s-themed Innovathon-6 euphoria brought everyone together in innovative thinking, encouraging colleagues from different departments to partner in solving complex challenges. With the eyes on AI-inspired solutions to make life easier, the staff poured their heart and soul into the utmost mission of Innovathon: collaborate and party hard. 

Staff Outing

Besides the in-house events, Mitrais staff escaped the screen and embraced the scene by hitting Atlas, the world’s biggest beach club that’s located in Bali, the Wahoo Waterworld in Bandung, the Menoreh Hill in Yogyakarta, and the Padjajaran Suites, a lush green resort in Bogor.

Desks and cubicles were shifted into the outdoor fresh air and the excitement of playful madness among colleagues as they clashed in games and team bonding activities. Shared laughter and beaming smiles along the way, breaking the ice, and fostering positive connections.

Satisfied with all the gatherings that had brought everyone together, Gusti Putu Kompiang commented, “In the world of uncertainty, good feedback loops and data are critical and the best moment for that feedback loop is over spontaneous water-cooler conversation – something that an online conversation might not have.” he emphasised. “Until then, we wish to meet more of you more often at the office to have that conversation. We’d never know that the seemingly casual coffee time conversion may actually shape the future of our business.” encouraged the Director.

In 2023, Mitrais recognized the outstanding contributions of 26 staff who dedicated a remarkable 10 years of service to the company. This gesture highlighted the value Mitrais places on longevity, loyalty, and the continuous growth of its employees. By acknowledging the dedication and expertise of these team members, Mitrais sustains a culture of appreciation and reinforces the importance of recognizing those who have rolled their sleeves and made it happen within the company.

Looking ahead with optimism on the horizon of 2024, Mitrais has embraced the theme of “Innovating and Thriving in Economic Uncertainty”. Gusti Putu Kompiang states, “Moving forward into uncharted territory post-pandemic, innovation will catalyse our growth.
